A halfling celebrating life buys the bar a drink. The party and the halfling are the last to leave the tavern when there is a cry for help coming from a nearby rooming house. The halfling goes to fetch the Watch, while the party investigates. They find several dead tenants covered with bite marks and soaked in their own blood. The dead rise and surround the PCs. They must act quickly to find the source of the corruption before they are overwhelmed and the undead escape the confines of this building.
